There was quite a turnout at the meeting last night. A full house, one might say. Frank Pointer started the meeting, gave a little history of how this whole thing got started and then turned it over to BJ Eavy. BJ gave the ground rules and set the tone for the meeting. First was assets, which I believe got a little off track, as most people were addressing other parts of Arnold and not just the north end of Jeffco between the bridge and 141. There was a lot of participation. (BJ is quite good at keeping things on track, she has had a lot of practice!) Then came challenges. All in all, I think a lot of plusses and minuses were identified.
Later, committee heads were introduced: Frank Kutilek was heading up the History group, wanting an accurate accounting of Arnold's past. Brian Waldrop headed up the Environmental group, Tom Dixon, the marketing group, Gene Fribis, the housing group. I apologize for not remembering her name, but a pretty lady was heading up the Beautification group. All in attendance were invited to participate in the process and asked to sign up to work in the group that addressed what they were most interested in. There were others that follow this board in attendance, hopefully they will fill in some more of the night for you.... :) - Doris Borgelt
