AT Closing Shop Print E-mail
Thursday, 16 October 2008

Folks,

As my business continues to grow, I need to start reducing the amount of websites I run -  particularly those which are not part of my core business.  AT has long been a project of mine which I've put a lot of time and resources into.  However it has become apparent to me that it is just a side project, one which I do not have the time to continue to pore myself into.  Therefore, ArnoldTalk will be officially going offline/closing on October 31, 2008.

I appreciate dearly all of the work many of you have put in to promoting this website.  It has not gone unnoticed, and I'd be glad to buy you a beer on the chance that we ever meet.  Its because of you that this website lasted as long as it did.

I hope you all continue to be involved in the Arnold community, and most of all that your families continue to work toward improving this great town.

Will

PS - It has come to my attention that the site has closed (for rebuilding) in the past, only to open again a few weeks later.  I promise you this is not a marketing ploy or other ruse.  This site will be offline Oct 31 and, barring a purchase , it will not be coming back online.

I am sorry AT will be going offline at the end of this month. I know you have put a lot of work into it.
I do however understand that there are a couple of things that are much more important in you life first being your family and second being your job and that is as it should be.
I'm sure I will see you around town or at Pom Shows.

Will,

As a long time viewer of this site and past resident who grew up in Arnold, I will be sad to see AT shut down. This site has provided me the opportunity to keep in touch with the events around my hometown when I currently live 250 miles away. I wish you the best of luck with your job and hope that someday AT will get up and running again.

Thanks for all you've done,
Randy Hartmann

Will,
I will definately hate to see this column go. Since I got out of the City Council and my disability has put me to a big disadvantage going to meetings, I've enjoyed reading all the details here. Also many numerous comments and ads. I remember so well when Gary first started, it was great.. Hate to see it go, but I too understand the reasoning. Best of luck friend and hopefully we'll see ya back here toiling away.

Will,
I wanted to say thank you for giving me the chance to report on the city council meetings and the antics of our elected officials. I'm glad that you were able to get some of the videos up for everyone to see. A lot of people have connected because of this site and a lot more know what is going on around Arnold, too. Just for the record, I will continue video-taping the meetings in hopes of everybody getting to see them again. Hopefully there will be some venue to keep the people informed. Oh, and hold onto those archives, there may be a subpoena or two coming your way.....

I am so sad that AT is closing. I visited the site every single day (even if I didn't post). I have AT to thank for getting me interested and keeping me informed on what is going on in Arnold. I feel so lost, I dont know what to do, lol. I need a forum smilies/grin.gif

I did come across another Arnold forum but it doesn't come close to touching this one and I didn't feel comfortable there so I left. *sigh* I'm gonna miss this place.
