Yesterday I stopped by the hiring office (over by Shop n Save) and talked to the hiring manager for Lowe's. He said that they are still accepting applications, but that most all the jobs have been filled. If you're looking for a job, you've only got a few days left to visit the office and get your application in. They are interviewing this week. |

With today's nasty weather getting everyone up early to go to work or school, I thought I'd list a few driving tips. Keep safe out there!
- If your car needs service, get it done NOW!
- Check your battery, belts and charging system.
- Make sure your cooling system is up to par. Fix any leaks
- Check your wipers
- Keep a full tank of gas.
- Put some weight in the trunk. Use sand or cat litter.
- Carry supplies too. A blanket, shovel, scraper and old boots.
- Be aware of black ice
- Drive slow!

Matt Hay has put together a pretty funny poll over in the Forum section that asks the simple question: Who is going to be the first to be prosecuted under the new Cyber Bullying Ordinance? It does seem like the Arnold City Council hastily passed yet another ordinance before knowing all the facts. They seem to enjoy doing that. Perhaps they're eager to use what they think are 'legal means' to shut down websites such as this one, or at least to bully the individuals who are opposing them and their sneaky ways. Problem is, the ordinance is so vague and full of holes, it'll never work. In order to vote on Matt's poll, you'll need to login first. |
