ARNOLD — A valuable lesson learned in school helped Lucas Alden, 12, save the life of his brother, Nathan, 13. The boys, sons of Steve and Chris Alden of the Arnold area, were building a bonfire to roast hot dogs in a field behind their house on July 13. But the wood was damp, so Nathan said he decided to toss a small amount of gasoline on the wood pile to help start the fire. Nathan didn't count on the gasoline exploding into flames that immediately caught his clothes on fire. He started running and screaming, but Lucas yelled at him to "stop, drop and roll."
