The Missouri Department of Conservation is trying to determine if a cougar is responsible for injuries to horses in eastern Missouri’s Jefferson County.

A witness says a cougar attacked the horses at the Rockin’ J Stables. Conservation Department spokesman Dan Zarlenga says an investigator will examine the wounds.
