A few weeks ago I saw in the LEADER that Arnold was looking to hire an IT person. I'm sure someone here can answer my question: Will this new IT person be in charge of the arnoldmo.org website as well? If not, is Arnold ever planning on making a site that's worthwhile?

And if they are planning on that, will they hire a local web design company to do it? hock:

I'm assuming for the salary they were willing to pay the IT person, the web duties are not included. But I've been wrong before (remember that one time?)...

I read the job description several weeks ago at City Hall. Website development is part of that job, as well as maintaining the city's IT infrastructure. I'm sure that whoever takes that job will be kept busy.

I considered applying (if you can't beat the man, join him...) but I don't think the salary was in line with the described duties.

JC, I agree. I wouldn't touch that job for that amount. Not even the high end, which I think was around 52k?

Course, if I were lookin' for an IT job, it'd be a different story...

I thought I'd read it was low 30's, but maybe I got some bad info. Even at 52, it sounded like an awfull lot of responsibility for one person. Maybe they need to sub out the website work. I wonder who'd be willing to do that... :idea:

I agree...the salary isn't in line with the amount of IT duties the person would have to take on. The City would have to offer a salary range from 75K - 100K for those amount of duties.
