I saw the spot on Channel 4 last night. I thought you did a good job! I also thought maybe having a fundraiser to muster the funds to fix the problem might help, but even if it gets fixed how would we know that it wouldn't happen again? One other thing, they said the house was sinking, but that really isn't the case, right? The house is on piers, I believe. Isn't the dirt washing away from underneath?
If the home was built in 1987, how come it just recently started doing this? What occurred in the surrounding area to change the flow of the water? Obviously it wasn't doing that up until last year sometime.
Just a few questions, maybe there are some people out there that can help with the solution? Let me know if you want me to send out one of the emails, but I wouldn't do that without your approval first.

You are correct Doris. The house is piered (20-21 deep "well past old lagoon" ) as is states on the builders permit ... What is sinking is not so much the house, but everything underneath it, and everything around it. All the contractors(some were engineers) all say the same thing. Even if I dump the money into the repairs, its going to continue. There are a few reasons for this.

1. The former path of the creek went under house.
2. The house was built on top of the former lagoon, which was filled in with poor fill dirt.
3. The flow of the creek was changed near Bender.
4. There are opens/voids in the tunnels for the creek. City workers have admitted this, but claim its "too expensive to repair properly" . Per the City's "engineer" Bryson Baker, (its a title I guess ) "We bandaid things to the best of our ability..."

What is happening, is water is trying to go back to its natural water table/path. This is why its washing out from beneath. Underneath my house, my yard, my neighbors yard, and the properties that were bought out/torn down, all are all eroding away from underneath.

If you or anybody else can or knows somebody that can help, I am open to suggestions.

I'm tired of working 2 jobs to pay for our we CANNOT live in. And what ongoing investigation is happening? Thats news to me. I jsut want help.

On a similar note, I know of another Arnold resident who lives in a different ward, namely Ward 1. She has a similar issue, her main sewer pipe wasn't set properly and nor were her neighbors. Everytime it rains, their basements drains smell and clog up. Several plumbers told them its MSD's issue not the homeowner. She lives down the street from Randy Crisler and says he isnt friendly at all and only waves and smiles at election time.

hey guys, i did not know that there was any action on this from the city's prospective, i will check it out and see if something has been re-openned. i checked with the people that i told you about and they tell me that the repair will be very expensive, so maybe with doris' help a fund raiser would be a good thing. i am not sure that the problem did not exist since the house was built. it has just taken twenty years for the erosion to get to the point where the plumbing was failing, for anyone to notice or become alarmed.

Thats because I don't think there is. They first refused comment, then had to give some sort of statement so they would not look so guilty. Should have had the news show the letter from the city and the city's insurance tell me to take a hike....

On a side note, thanks for the help/advice you have given us Karl. We do appreciate it.
