Well, Arnold is a little behind the times. But here we are, the end of 2007, and businesses are starting to get with the swing of things. McDonald's installed their free wireless earlier this year. And just yesterday I noticed that Burger King is now offering the airwaves of joy to geeks like me. What does this mean to most folks? Well, nothing. But for smart businesses (particularly those in the food industry), this is smart marketing. They offer free WiFi - so I meet my clients there. We buy their food and drink their drinks. I once asked a business owner when they were going to offer free WiFi. Her response was great - "If we did that, people like you would spend all day in here. Gee, that's horrible.

Will, don't hold me to it, but I believe my wife told me that Cafe Trieste (located where Latte Da was) will have WiFi available. From the looks of what I can see through the windows, it looks like it would be a terrific place to take clients. She said the drinks are to die for too (apparently, she has been getting brought free samples!)

The Arnold Branch of the Jefferson County Library offers free wifi. We have had it since I believe last April. The library is open Monday through Thursday 9am-9pm, Friday 9am-6pm, and Saturday 9am-5pm. The wifi is accessible anywhere in the building and it is free to all. Wifi is also available at the library branches in High Ridge and Barnhart.
