Well we're down to just a few days left in this year.  All the radio stations and TV stations are doing their 'best of' for 2007, and Dick Clark is getting his Botox shots and caffeine IV so he can do yet another ball-drop in New York. While they're all busy doing their thing, Arnold Talk will continue on.  This year I personally plan to put money into advertising and promoting the site.  Perhaps I can make it a goal to get mentioned at at least one council meeting a month Smile

So what do you think were the Top Moments of 2007, Arnold-related? Mr. Venable moving on? Mayor Powell's interviews with Elliot Davis? The triangle coming to fruition?  Lots has happened this year, let's see what you think was the most memorable and history-changing?

The triangle will be the most remembered thing that happened in 2007. It will stand for years as a reminder.
Mayor Powell's remarks to Davis will be forgotten by most within a year.
Mr. Venables move to Pevely will also be forgotten by most within a year. The only thing that many will remember about him is the fact he helped make Arnold a non-smoking town.

Remembering 2007
written by exone, December 31, 2007
Eminent domain!! Doctor Tourkakis !! Law suits !! and of course that everlasting reminder from this administration, the TDD, TIF, and let's not forget that 40 year sales tax of 8.875%... And to think, two of those "clowns" with their clones on the Council are the direct cause of these tax consequences. One wants to be the State Treasure and the other wants to be a County Commissioner. Get out the brooms, we need a complete sweep.

By the way I used the word "clowns" because jokers make you laugh. With tears in my eyes, I feel so sorry for the tax burdened citizens of Arnold who will, along with their children, pay the tax price for years to come.

Think about it and remember these words...

Best regards,

Exone
