A suit was filed yesterday against the city of Arnold for their use of the red light cameras.  Included in the list of demands are actual and punitive damages from the city, Mayor Mark Powell, Police Chief Robert Shockey, the Arnold city council, a police officer and even the red light contractor, American Traffic Solutions, Inc.

Thanks to Julie at Pleban & Associates, we now have the complaint along with exhibits 1-5 . 

Only time will tell if this lawsuit will stand up against the city, or if it will just be another waste of the taxpayers money.  I'm sure the charges aren't being taken lightly, and we'll probably hear plenty more about this over the upcoming weeks.

Last weeks Riverfront times goes into many great details about these cameras and even tells how to get out of getting the ticket. It mentions Arnolds intersections and where the city of Arnold chooses to spend the revenue received from the fines. Did you know that the company used to get these cameras gets a third of the revenue?
