Kirkwood Shooting - Could It Happen in Arnold? Print E-mail
Written by Will

I'm sure everyone knows by now about the shootings at the recent Kirkwood City Council meeting.  The alledged shooter had many problems with the council over the recent years, and decided unfortunately to take out his frustrations on those who he believed affected him the most.

So we might as well ask.  What is being done at Arnold City Hall to prevent the same from happening? Are Arnold police stationed at the meetings, and are they prepared for this sort of surprise?

And along those same lines - Does this unfortunate event open the eyes of our council members to realize that they are affecting lives simply by their (sometimes rash) decisions?

There is a discussion about the Kirkwood shooting in the forum.

I was thinking the same thing last night as I watched the news. It's so scary that no one is safe anywhere. School, church, shopping malls and now council meetings. I think both ends (citizens and city officials) need to sit back and think about their actions. It's horribly sad.

This is a very tragic story. Sad to say but the City of Arnold needs to look at metal detectors. This happened close to home and it makes you realize it could also happen her.
