Hometown Association Public Meeting February 20th at 7:30pm at the Arnold Community Building on Arnold-Tenbrook Road. A group of interested Arnold residents, business persons and city staff, known as the Hometown Association Master Plan Steering Committee, have been meeting to explore possibilities for writing a plan for the creation of a Hometown atmosphere along the northern section of Jeffco Boulevard in Northern Arnold (Highway 141 north to the Meramec River). Any Arnold resident, business person or developer interested in a rejuvenation of this area is invited to become a member of various Issue Teams, who will draft this redevelopment plan. The plan will be written with the input and cooperation of Arnold’s citizens and is scheduled to take one year to complete. Please attend the meeting on February 20, 2008 at 7:30 PM at the Arnold Community Building. Bring your ideas for improving the Jeffco Boulevard corridor and consider joining a planning Issue Team. Questions prior to the February 20 meeting can be directed to: Frank Pointer, Chairman Hometown Association 636-296-9123

Later, committee heads were introduced: Frank Kutilek was heading up the History group, wanting an accurate accounting of Arnold's past. Brian Waldrop headed up the Environmental group, Tom Dixon, the marketing group, Gene Fribis, the housing group. I apologize for not remembering her name, but a pretty lady was heading up the Beautification group. All in attendance were invited to participate in the process and asked to sign up to work in the group that addressed what they were most interested in. There were others that follow this board in attendance, hopefully they will fill in some more of the night for you....
