For years now the Arnold Jaycees have been adopting less fortunate families around the holidays.  These families are treated to a nice basket of food near Thanksgiving.  Then, close to Christmas, the families are taken on a very nice 'shopping spree' of sorts at Wal Mart.  The Jaycees help the children pick out nice gifts, and they even help wrap them up.  The group also buys some basic essentials for the families, like towels, soap and pajamas.  This past Christmas, the Jaycees spent over $5000 on these families, all Arnold area residents.

The Arnold Jaycees get most of its funding from the Missouri License Office at 3540 Jeffco Blvd.  The profits received from licensing vehicles is donated back into the Arnold community. Past recipients include Fox C-6 and Windsor school districts, numerour boy and girl scout troops, and individuals hit with hardships.

For more information on the Arnold Jaycees, see their website http://www.ArnoldJaycees.org
