I'm watching it now on the news, 6 people shot dead. From what they know it was 2 police officers, the mayor and some city council members.

This is horrible. My thoughts and prayers go out to the wounded and the families of the deceased. I hope the Mayor pulls through, last I heard he was critical _________________ Matt Hay

Ya same here I wish all the family of the Victims all the best and my prayers. I was really in disbelief last night because at first they said it was a P&Z Meeting! That really hits home, my wife looked over at me and I knew what she was thinking just by her look.
And sorry CC I can’t hold your sentiment about the Shooters family . From the clip I heard on KMOX this morning from his Mother. I hope there was more to it than what they played. She showed no remorse for what her Son did. She basically blamed it on the City for so called harassment form the City. I was a like a, what do you Expect attitude. It was disgusting I wanted to throw up. |

What a senseless and tragic event that was last night. I hope everybody realizes that no matter how bad something might be, nothing will EVER justify taking a life. Nothing. Hope a bible verse will help some who are afraid.
fear not, for I am with you;
be not dismayed, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Brian,
I didn't hear that on KMOX this morning. What I saw on KMOV last night it looked like the family was pretty distraught. Maybe I was wrong. |

| I watched Elliot from channel 2 interview the mom Live and she showed NO remorse for anyone, her son or the victims. She also never apologized and basically said the city drove her son to his actions. I can't imagine her shock but her actions and words were very cold and heartless (IMO) last night. No matter what the city did or didn't do to her son it NEVER justifies killing. |

| That is sad that the family shows no remorse for the victims. There is never a good reason to kill someone in the fashion that this man did. This is an event that should have never took place. |

I, for one, have ZERO sympathy for this obviously isane murderer, or his family.
I dont care how many tickets he got or how many times he was fined for code violations. He was a cold blooded murderer, and there is absolutely no excuse or justification for his actions.
This may be callous, but I'm glad he is dead and I have no doubt the world is better off without him. An eye for an eye. (But not in this situation, he killed 5) |

| His Brother is just as BAD. Said he had no other option but to go to war. Hmmm and moving the trucks was not an Option? Again no apology or remorse just more justification. What a bunch of BS. I’m really trying to be civil here and hold back what I really want to say. Connie Karr and Mike Lynch were Friends of the family and as far as I'm concerned his family is no better than he was. My brother is at the Vigil now as he knew them the most, he is really shaken up. All these BS comments from friends as well how nice he was and how gentle he was. Wow Disrupting Meetings calling and holding up signs that the Mayor, council and city are jack asses. Parking 6 to 8 Construction vehicles in a residential zone and claiming their racist and using Plantation policies. Man what a great Guy! |

| I wonder if his family realizes how awful they sound in the news? His brother is saying he (Cookie) "went to war". I am just amazed that they are still saying the city drove him to kill. |

Scottie,
I am sorry, but no matter what the person did, I could never wish that fate on a person. Nobody deserves that fate. However, the only thing I will say is that the killer was wrong in what he did and his family is wrong for not being remorseful. I guess the Almighty has a plan in store for everyone that we don't know about.

Repay no one evil for evil… . Beloved do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord (Romans 12:17, 19).
Hate breeds more hate. This man has done what he's done and is getting what is coming to him for all eternity. The senselessness of it all is the big issue. Why did he kill? His ego? His race? The bigger question is why is it OK in the eyes of his family? Was it "justice" for him to murder those people in the chamber? If a cop kills a black man in Meecham Park in retaliation, is that "Justice"? When does it stop.
Maybe if there were more bible book stores instead of gun shops this wouldn't happen. |
