American Idol David Cook Visits Missouri
Written by Will
Friday, 09 May 2008

While this isn't exactly Arnold news, and we are 250 miles away, but for those of you who follow American Idol, David Cook is back in the Kansas City area today visiting his hometown of Blue Springs.

As part of next weeks upcoming show, the three finalists are returning to their hometowns for a celebration that is being taped by FOX. David is currently (as of 7:30 a.m.) visiting the FOX news station. At 3:30 David will be participating in a short parade that will take him to his alma mater, Blue Springs South High School. He will arrive at the school at 4:00 p.m. and do a performance at the football stadium. The tickets for this event were free but a donation of $5.00 was requested to go to the American Cancer Society.  There were 10,000 tickets given out for this "homecoming" and were gone in less than 2 hours and I have one of them!!! The city is expecting upwards of 20,000 people in attendance for this event.

If you are a David Cook fan and have a few hours to spare, come on out to Blue Springs and cheer your idol on. There are people coming from all over the Midwest.

Office of National Drug Control Policy Director John Walters and Attorney General Michael Mukasey signed an agreement with leaders of Mexico, China and India in downtown St. Louis pledging to continue to work toward additional control of meth's key ingredient.
